FISH STOCK

Brown trout is the fish species officially dedicated to the Province of Central Finland, and also the most "eligible" catch. Apart from brown trout, fishermen also try to lure grayling and landlocked salmon at the rapids. Most often brown trout are caught at rapids and in rivers and other streaming waters.

In the Central Finland waters all the stocked brown trout are marked. With the wild brown trout we practice C&R only.

The most frequent catch on the lakes includes pike, pike perch / zander and perch.

FISHING WATERS

Central Finland is an area of a truly rich variety of waterbodies: there are lakes, ponds, and streaming waters of various sizes, to suit any fisherman's and -woman's taste. The quality of water is generally either excellent or good, which means that your catch is clean, healthy and edible. The water pH values are normal (6 to 7) in Central Finland, and its colour is often darkish because of humus material. One should not judge the quality of water by its colour, though, for this darkish water is often drinkable.
