March 12 2007: Season 2007 Booking

Now Booking for the season 2007 which starts in April. Some early June dates are already sold out, but there are plenty of dates in the best flyfishing season.

Best season for flyfishing is from late June to late September. For the spinnermen best fishing for trout is From May to late June and from mid-August to October.

August 12 2006: Indian summer in Finland

Picture of the month: Wild brown trout (5-6lb!) in the picture hooked on 2.00am by young Gentleman - the bigger one broke the leader ..as usual.

 

The summer has been extremely hot and sunny here in Finland , so the best trout fishing from late June to this day happened during the night. Remember that in June-July the sun won't get down at all in Finland.

 

August 15 2005: Champs hit the Finnish rapids

Fly fishing champs Stevie Munn (North Ireland) and Hywel Morgan (Wales) spent a week fishing the best trout waters in Finland such as Kapeenkoski, Kuusaankoski, Huopanankoski, Keskisenkoski and Kellankoski.

 

June 17 2005: Perch 3,1lb !!!

Perch 3,1lb get hooked (C&R) at the Lake Vatia. That is the record perch of this century from the Lake Vatia.   

 

May 23, 2005

Season 2005 has began successfully at the Keitele- Päijänne rapids. Water level is lower than previous spring which means that fishing is much more enjoyable.

Lots of good trout are hooked ( size 1lb - 8lb), from the drift boats and from the shore.
