Pike Fishing

The pike is one of the most widespread of Finnish fish. Pike are predators and are still living in the wild in the lakes in Finland.
Pike over 5kg lbs are taken regularly, while many fish over 10kg are caught every year from both big and small waters .
Pike spawn in Finland between April and May, usually in the shallow margins of streams and lakes.

Our region offers excellent facilities for pike and zander fishing in its numerous lakes and bonds. Pike, zander, perch and various other species of fish can be caught by casting from the shore, trolling or casting from boats.

Fly fishing for pike is becoming an increasingly popular method of fishing for pike in Europe and gives exciting sport with fish of all sizes.

It is possible to continue pike fishing even in winter, when ice angling is the most popular method.
